GRETCHEN WHITMER
Gretchen Whitmer was elected governor of Michigan in 2018. She gained national attention leading the state during the COVID-19 pandemic. Whitmer is a Democrat. She was born in Lansing and went to high school near Grand Rapids. She attended Michigan State University for undergraduate and law school.
