DETROIT – Merry Christmas! It was officially a White Christmas considering the snow on the ground. The morning was just a little slippery in spots, but thawing took place as Sunday progressed.
Please join me on Twitter (@AndrewLocal4) for regular weather updates.
The snow-melting process will be slow, so much of it still remains on the ground.
Monday will be much warmer, and, in fact, it will be in the warmest day of the week. Rain is likely ahead of a cold front, but the mercury will rise above 50 degrees; to the low and middle 50s. The record high is 55 degrees from 1888! Great chance of tying or breaking it.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be partly sunny and chillier, again. Highs will be in the low and mid 30s. The rest of the week, and, thus, rest of the year will be seasonably chilly with highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s. Snow and rain showers are possible Thursday. New Year's Eve, Saturday, looks dry and cold, for now.
