Rain on the way across SE Michigan

We’ll start today with some sunshine, but skies will eventually become cloudy, with rain possible by mid to late afternoon.  Highs should approach 60 degrees (15-16 degrees Celsius), although it’ll be cooler across the western part of our area where clouds and showers will arrive earliest.  Southwest wind at 10 to 15 mph.

Today’s sunrise is at 8:01 a.m., and today’s sunset is at 6:33 p.m.  Reminder:   we go off Daylight Saving Time and return to Eastern Standard Time at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 5th.  So, make a note that you need to set your clocks BACK an hour before you go to bed Saturday night, November 4th.  Enjoy that extra hour of sleep!  You’ll also notice that the sun will set an hour earlier starting that Sunday, and the kids will get more daylight for the morning bus stop come Monday morning.

Rain is likely tonight (not looking good for our high school football games), with lows in the upper 30s (3 degrees Celsius).

Any Friday night showers should end by first thing Saturday morning, and I think skies will actually become partly cloudy behind the cold front that passes by as a slot of drier air works its way in.  That’s great news for those of you heading to Ann Arbor for Michigan’s homecoming game against Rutgers.  Highs Saturday, however, will only reach the mid to upper 40s.

Partly cloudy Saturday night, with lows in the mid 30s (2 degrees Celsius).

Partly to mostly cloud on Sunday, with highs in the upper 40s (9 degrees Celsius).

Mostly cloudy Sunday night, with lows in the low to mid 30s (1-2 degrees Celsius).

Mostly cloudy skies on Monday with a small shower chance, and perhaps even a wet snowflake late in the day into Monday evening.  Highs in the upper 40s (9 degrees Celsius), and it’ll be a breezy day.

Mostly cloudy Monday night, with lows in the mid 30s (2 degrees Celsius).

Halloween continues to look dry…that aspect of my forecast hasn’t changed since last week.  Neither has the fact that it’ll probably be a breezy day, with highs in the mid to upper 40s (8-9 degrees Celsius).

Trick or Treating weather

It’ll still be a bit breezy as the kids head out to beg for candy since they don’t get enough sugar in their regular diets.  Temperatures during the prime time of Trick or Treating should be in the mid 40s (7 degrees Celsius), so it’ll be a chilly one this year…layers under the costumes are much advised.  Save me some candy corn!

The rest of the week looks to have a continuation of the below average temperatures probably through Thursday, with highs generally in the low 50s (10-12 degrees Celsius).  Beyond Thursday, I see temperatures moderating back to average for early November.
