Noticeable shift in weather conditions expected during NFL draft weekend in Metro Detroit

Friday highs in lower 60s; Saturday highs in upper 70s

Despite the frosty and cold start to your Friday, there’s a noticeable shift in weather conditions. Overnight lows will drop down to around freezing in some spots, while the east side will stay in the upper 30s. This sets the stage for a significant warm-up later in the day. 4Warn Weather – The east side of Metro Detroit, including Wayne, Macomb, and Monroe counties, will have a Frost Advisory from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m., and the west side, including Oakland, Washtenaw, and Livingston counties, will have a Freeze Warning from 1 a.m. until 8 a.m.

Sunshine returns for Friday and a quick warm-up into the low 60s.

Weekend forecast

Friday night rain begins around midnight and continues through Saturday morning. Showers will taper off in the afternoon, but the chance of rain will remain until Monday. Near record-breaking highs on Sunday in the upper 70s to 80 degrees.
