Rapidly growing Ann Arbor cybersecurity company Blumira hires four industry veterans

ANN ARBOR – Local tech company Blumira has announced several additions to its leadership as it continues its rapid growth trajectory.

The cybersecurity company, which provides automated threat detection and response technology, currently employs 40 people and continues to expand.

Blumira’s leadership includes former Duo Security, Groundspeed, Censys and DeepField employees.

Its new senior-level hires include:

  • Helen Leonard, Chief of Staff
  • Jon-Eric Cornellier, Director of Marketing
  • Jeremy Young, Director of Partner Strategy
  • Heidi Craun, Senior Director of Customer Experience

The new appointments follow a recent $10.3 million Series A funding round and significant growth for the company as user-friendly security solutions remain in high demand.

Peer-to-peer review site G2 recently recognized Blumira as a Momentum Leader in its G2 Fall 2021 Grid® Reports in three categories. The reports spotlight innovative products with high-growth potential based on employee growth, user satisfaction scores and digital presence.

In addition to placing high on G2′s Momentum Grid for security incident and event management (SIEM), security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) and intrusion detection and prevention system (IDPS), Blumira was awarded 24 honors which included badges for Best Relationship, High Performer, Best Support, Best Est. ROI, Best Results and Fastest Implementation.

In addition to the company’s recent growth, Blumira’s security protocols and use of data recently received an audit attestation by ByteCheck Assurance. The assessment validated that the company’s practices meets the American Institute of CPAs’ strict data security requirements.

“This was a huge milestone for our team,” Blumira’s co-Founder and CTO Matt Warner said in a release. “Successfully completing the SOC 2 examination shows our customers, partner, and the market at large the importance we place on security and building a cybersecurity product that customers can rely on and trust.”
