ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Although the afternoon sun cleared the roads, morning snow and ice resulted in several crashes on U.S. 23 and Interstate 94 Sunday morning.
Around 10:44 a.m., Ann Arbor Fire Department on-duty crews from around the city responded to crashes reported on the highways near Tree Town.

Among the multiple-vehicle crashes was an incident on southbound U.S. 23 near Geddes Road, which resulted in a vehicle fire. AAFD personnel assisted Ann Arbor Township Fire Department, officials said.
Another crash, located on westbound I-94 near Liberty Street, consisted of nine cars.
Fire personnel from Pittsfield Township and Scio Township, as well as from Huron Valley Ambulance, helped with the crashes on I-94.
The fire department helps individuals get off of highways in order to avoid further danger, officials said on social media.
