Paths near Ann Arbor's Barton Dam temporarily close for drilling project

ANN ARBOR – Two paths at Barton Dam will be impacted by closures in preparation for a drilling project, according to a city release

Now through Aug. 19, NTH Consultants, Ltd./DLZ - American Drilling will be carrying out geotechnical explorations at the dam.

The work is part of a project to remediate the dam’s right embankment, and will close two paths in the area as a result.

The closures include:

  • The path along the ridge of the earth embankment (Aug. 8-12)
  • The path under the railroad bridge under the river (Aug. 15-19)
