“We are excited to host our second Road Rally! Last year’s participants had such a good time and really got into crafting their mascots. We want to keep bringing these fun events to our community. Combining #creativereuse with an appreciation for our Ypsilanti community!” said SCRAP Creative Reuse Director Claire Tyra.

Reuse Road Rally tickets cost $15 each. Get the details here.

The Ann Arbor-based nonprofit is putting together the annual fundraiser and scavenger hunt to support its mission to encourage sustainable use and creative reuse of materials. It diverts around 4,000 pounds of reusable materials from the area’s waste stream every month.

The SCRAP shop, at 4567 Washtenaw Ave., is open from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
