ANN ARBOR – The annual TEDxUofM returns to University of Michigan’s Power Center on Friday.
The conference, which features a diverse group of speakers, will run from 6-10 p.m.

Guest speakers include James Beard Award semifinalist and owner of Miss Kim Ji Hye Kim, director of U-M’s first-ever Adaptive Sports and Fitness program Dr. Feranmi Okanlami, sports journalist for the Athletic Nicole Auerbach, award-winning film director David Siev and others.
The theme for this year’s event is GLITCH.
“Glitches represent the idea that life often tries to derail us off a steady path,” reads the event’s website. “Although we may experience a setback or glitch, we can learn from it, propel forward, and start to appreciate every pixel of our experiences.”

- Elizabeth Trinh, Ph.D. student and researcher at U-M’s Ross School of Business
- Amy Tseng, speaker who works as a technical director at Walt Disney
- Tommy Searle, app developer and U-M alum
- Nicole Auerbach, sports journalist for the Athletic and U-M alum
- Annie Rauwerda, freelance writer, Instagram influencer and U-M alum
- David Siev, award-winning filmmaker of “Bad Axe”
- Ji Hye Kim, award-winning chef/owner of Miss Kim
Tickets must be purchased online before the event. Tickets cost $15 for students and $25 for general admission and can be purchased here.
Conference schedule:
- 4:30 p.m. Doors open
- 6 p.m. Program begins
- 7:45-8:15 p.m. Intermission
- 8:20-10 p.m. Program resumes
