ANN ARBOR – Stop cars in their tracks and help children cross the road safely as a City of Ann Arbor crossing guard.
Crossing guards help students who may be lost or injured and report accidents or vehicles ignoring crosswalk safety measures.

Those interested must have a high school diploma or GED, be able to work independently, know about pedestrian regulations and communicate well with others. Experiences working with children, or the public, are preferred according to the job posting.
Crossing guards will perform repetitive movements, carry between 10-20 pounds, and need to be able to walk for extended time outside.
The position pays $13 per hour. Part-time crossing guards are paid for four hours when schools are in session.
Potential candidates will have an in-person interview, background and criminal history check and have previous employers contacted.
