Visit these Washtenaw County daytime weather havens when things get bad

DTE Energy warns of trees, branches weakened by ice storm before predicted snowfall

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – In early 2023, temperatures dropped, wicked storms came through and power was lost to most of Ann Arbor for several days.

During that time, several community organizations opened their doors to make sure those in need had warm, safe spaces with access to water and electricity.

With winter weather on its way again, Washtenaw County community members can turn to these temporary daytime weather havens once again when things get bad.

The centers open up when the temperature or wind chill drops below 20 degrees.
