Hundreds of fans brave weather to welcome Michigan Wolverines back to Ann Arbor

Michigan returns with first national title in decades

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Fans welcomed home the National Champion Michigan Wolverines Tuesday, Jan. 9, outside of Schembechler Hall.

Hundreds of students and community members stood in the rain waiting to greet the team.

After touching down at Detroit Metro Airport, the team was bussed to the campus.

Coach Jim Harbaugh and players spoke to the crowd, thanking fans for their support.

The official celebratory parade is scheduled for Saturday with the details to be announced Wednesday.
