What to know about Michigan football championship celebration in Ann Arbor this weekend

Championship parade will occur in Ann Arbor at 4 p.m.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A massive championship celebration will take place in Ann Arbor this weekend after the University of Michigan football team claimed their first championship since 1997.

Michigan won it all in the College Football Playoff title game on Monday night vs. Washington, completing an undefeated championship run. Now, the team will return home to Ann Arbor to celebrate.

The event will be held by the Championship Circle Collective on Saturday (Jan. 13) at 7 p.m. inside Crisler Center.

A parade will occur before the event, going from President’s House to Schembechler Hall in Ann Arbor starting at 4 p.m.

Reserved seats will be $30 for the upper bowl and $60 for the lower bowl, with all proceeds going to the Champions Circle Collective.

Donors to Michigan Athletics with 500 or more priority points will be able to purchase tickets on Thursday (Jan. 11) at 9 a.m.

Individuals with one or more priority points can purchase tickets on Thursday at 1 p.m. A general public sale will take place on Friday at 9 a.m.

The ceremony will be broadcast live by the Big Ten Network. Doors will open to ticketholders at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
