ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Students in Ann Arbor public school district have a snow day on Tuesday, thanks to winter weather.
School administrators canceled classes across the district Monday night due to “dangerously cold temperatures and icy road conditions in outlying areas and many of our neighborhood streets.”

A notice from officials on the Ann Arbor Public Schools website states the decision was made based on predicted wind chill temperatures dropping below 20 degrees.
“With temperatures predicted to remain in the low single digits and wind at 10 to 20 miles per hour, conditions are expected to exist that would make frostbite possible in less than 15 minutes,” the notice states.
The status of after-school activities will be addressed by mid-day on Tuesday, the notice reads.
