Ann Arbor SPARK has announced Rielle Jones as the new director of the annual a2Tech360 conference, which brings a week of tech-focused talks and events to Ann Arbor.
Jones has a decade of experience in the field, ranging from managing a podcast and coordinating corporate events to leading volunteer and board roles. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in orchestrating complex events and fostering inclusive communities, SPARK officials shared.
As the founder and former executive director of the Black America Summit, Jones’ leadership showcased her commitment to promoting cross-cultural support and building more inclusive societies.
Officials noted that her varied background underscores her capacity for innovation and strategic planning.
“a2Tech360 is crucial for showcasing the technological strengths of the Ann Arbor region, and with Rielle’s guidance, we’re looking forward to making it even more impactful for our tech community,” said Ann Arbor SPARK senior vice president of marketing, communications, and events Jenn Hayman. “Rielle’s entrepreneurial spirit and creative vision are key assets as she takes on this important role. "
She speaks Mandarin fluently and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Sociology from Wellesley College.
Jones will lead SPARK’s a2tech360 technology initiative, which is slated for a week of events from Sept. 20-27. The conference showcases technological advancements and trends through a series of activities including panel discussions, keynote presentations, workshops and pitch competitions. It brings together diverse stakeholders, fueling creativity and innovation in the region, and is a key event for tech enthusiasts, professionals, and entrepreneurs.
