Freezing rain, snow force Ann Arbor Public Schools to cancels classes Tuesday

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – For the second week in a row, students will have a snow day thanks to potentially dangerous road conditions and winter weather.

On Monday night, Ann Arbor Public Schools issued a notice canceling classes on Tuesday.

“A mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected overnight and through the morning, potentially impacting road conditions during the morning and afternoon commute,” the notice reads.

Elementary, middle and high schools before-school activities have been canceled. Afterschool programs have been canceled for elementary and middle schools.

A decision will be made on high school after-school activities and Rec &Ed programs by mid-day Tuesday, officials said.
