SUPERIOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office has located the SUV that was involved in a deadly hit-and-run Sunday morning.
The SUV was located in Superior Township, but officials say no one was taken into custody.

However, the sheriff’s office has identified the person involved, and the investigation is ongoing.
Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the area of Prospect Road and Park Lane in Superior Township around 8:20 a.m. on Sunday (Jan. 21).
Officials said a 53-year-old Ypsilanti woman walking on Prospect Road was struck during the night and left near the side of the road. Passersby later found her.
A short time ago the WCSO located the suspect vehicle in Superior Twp. At this time no one has been taken into custody. We have identified the person involved and the investigation is ongoing.

The vehicle in the hit-and-run left the scene heading north on Prospect Road towards Geddes Road.
Police said that car parts found at the scene led them to believe the SUV involved was a white, 2020 Grand Cherokee of an unknown model.
It would have damage to the passenger side of the front hood, the grill and the quarter panel area, according to authorities.
