$3K reward offered for information in deadly Washtenaw County hit-and-run

Mother of five, grandmother killed in Superior Township crash

SUPERIOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The family of a 53-year-old woman is offering a $3,000 reward in hopes someone will come forward with information regarding her death.

According to authorities, Shelly Mason was walking on Prospect Road when she was struck by a vehicle and left on the side of the road. Her body was found Sunday, Jan. 21.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office said parts of the vehicle were left at the scene. They believe she was struck by a white 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee of an unknown model. Authorities said it would have damage to the passenger side of the front hood, the grill and the quarter panel area.
