ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Paczki Day is almost here so make sure to get your orders in before it’s too late.
On Tuesday, Feb. 13, those wanting to treat themselves will be able to bite into calorie-laden paczki and indulge in powdered sugar and jelly.

Pronounced “poonch-key” in Michigan, the doughnut-esque desserts were supposedly brought to the area by Polish immigrants who celebrated the holy day of Shrove Tuesday. Over time, the day became synonymous with Paczki and it lovingly became known as Paczki Day.
Shops and bakeries in Tree Town are now taking pre-orders ahead of Feb. 13. Some will have extra paczki for sale the day-of in addition to advance orders.
Here’s where you can get your fill:
ARGUS FARM STOP
Preorder paczki from Crust online or in-store at Argus Farm Stop by Sunday, Feb. 11. Flavors from Crust include lemon, American berry, chocolate cayenne, strawberry and raspberry. Each costs $2.75.
Quantities are limited but those who order soon will be able to pick up their paczki on Feb. 13.

BIG CITY SMALL WORLD
The Miller Avenue bakery is taking pre-orders for traditional and fun flavors of paczki including cherry, chocolate cream, custard, lemon, prune, raspberry, strawberry and vanilla cream.
Big City Small World will also have paczki ready for purchase on Feb. 13 between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.

DETROIT STREET FILLING STATION
Don’t worry vegans, you haven’t been left out. Detroit Street Filling Station is offering boxes of six vegan paczki.
Each $30 box will have two paczki in three different flavors: raspberry jam, vanilla cream, and lemon curd.

LUCA PASTRY
Luca is coming in hot this year with exciting paczki flavors including Boson Cream, cannoli, raspberry, Bavarian Cream and Cookies N’Cream. The Italian patisserie has put its own spin on the beloved classic.
Each costs $3.25 and can be ordered online.
WASHTENAW DAIRY
The well-loved Ann Arbor dairy is taking pre-orders for six or 12 paczki until 9 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5. Six paczki will cost $17, with a dozen costing $32.
Flavors include apple, chocolate cream, custard, lemon, prune and raspberry. Call in pre-orders at 734-662-3244.
ZINGERMAN’S BAKEHOUSE
Get paczki made my Ann Arbor’s own Zingerman’s Bakehouse. Community members can pre-order until 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9.
Flavors include raspberry jam, lemon cream, sweet ricotta, chocolate pudding, and rose hip jam. Each costs $3.75. Order online here or by calling 734-761-2095.
