Take Back the Night Ann Arbor hosting fundraiser for annual awareness event

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Join Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and Take Back the Night Ann Arbor as they raise awareness to combat sexual violence during a fundraising gala.

The 17th Annual STARS Gala for Take Back the Night Ann Arbor will take place at Zingerman’s Greyline on Saturday, March 23.

Money raised by the fundraiser helps to power Take Back the Night Ann Arbor’s rally and march on the University of Michigan campus. Organizers said that event will be held at the Michigan Union on April 3 and will focus on the LGBTQ+ community.

The March gala fundraiser will include a buffet dinner, music, dancing, silent auction and a speech by Dana Nessel.

Items in the silent auction have been donated by local organizations, including Zingerman’s, Cherry Republic and the University of Michigan Athletics Department.

Tickets must be bought by March 17, and cost $75 until Feb. 23.

Those only interested in the silent auction can buy online bidding tickets for $10.
