ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The voters have spoken: Motherfire Brewing Co. on Ann Arbor’s southside is THE best beer maker in the area.
Sitting in the 5th seed position of our A4 Bracket Battle, the Tree Town brewery was up against 14th seed North Peak Brewing Co. Needless to say, Mothfire dominated the round with 108 more votes than its competitor.

The newly-crowned champion bested local brewers including Jolly Pumpkin, HOMES, Grizzly Peak Brewing Co. and Wolverine State Brewing Company.
Founded in 2020, Mothfire quickly became a local favorite due to its experimental, colorful cans, and small-batch brews.
Its new taproom, at 713 W. Ellsworth Rd., offers a rotating menu of beers, cocktails, tasting flights, non-alcoholic drinks and to-go beer cans. It partners with local food trucks so patrons can compliment their drinks with offers like pizza and tacos.
The 6,000 square foot space has enough seating for 40 people inside, and additional patio space for 70 more.
Can’t make it to the Mothfire? Pick up cans of the batch brews at area restaurants or grocery stores including Plum Market, Produce Station and Arbor Farms.
