Washtenaw Community College to celebrate Black entrepreneurs during Thursday award ceremony

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Washtenaw County area entrepreneurs will be honored on Thursday during the Black Business Excellence & Impact Celebration at the Parkridge Community Center in Ypsilanti.

Awards will be given to business owners who have shown entrepreneurial excellence by committing themselves to improving their communities and having a positive impact.

The award ceremony is hosted by the Washtenaw Community College’s Entrepreneurship Center and College and Career Readiness Department, which foster student development and burgeoning business ideas.

It will have a silent auction, dinner, live music and a guest speaker.

Tickets cost $10 each. Proceeds will go to scholarships for the WCC Summer STEM Education Academy.
