Ann Arbor police looking for man who threatened victim with pocket knife

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Police are looking for a man who pushed, spit on and threatened another man with a pocket knife on Wednesday.

The two men bumped into each other on a sidewalk between North Ingalls and East Ann streets around 4:10 p.m.

Officials from the University of Michigan Department of Public Safety and Security (UMDPSS) said the suspect followed the victim, shoved and spit on him, and then pulled out a pocket knife.

The victim ran away from the area.

UMDPSS described the suspect as a 6-foot-tall Black man around age 20. He is thin and has short, curly hair. He was wearing a dark navy or black jacket at the time.
