ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Before you know the summer will be here and the executive directors of Ann Arbor Art Fair have already set the tone by unveiling a new logo and three posters created by feature artists.
Locally known as “Art Fair,” the three-day event spans over 30 downtown city blocks and is comprised of three different independently juried fairs -- the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair, the Ann Arbor State District Art Fairs and the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, the Original.

On Monday, May 6, officials kicked off this year’s fair during an event with artist demonstrations and live music at Knight’s Steakhouse.
“Our three fairs work tirelessly in collaboration year-round to fill downtown Ann Arbor with beautiful, juried artwork for three days in July for the Ann Arbor Art Fair, one beloved event,” said Karen Delhey, executive director of the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair.
This year’s fair will run from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, July 818 and 19, and between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.
A new collaborative logo serves as a reminder of how the three fairs intersect with Ann Arbor and the city’s commitment to creativity and expression. It was designed by State Street District Art Fair Director of Operations Carissa Petty.
Delhey added that the upcoming fair season is exciting and that a new sponsor, Lilly, has already made a commitment to supporting the massive event.
“We’re ready to celebrate a wonderful mix of art and community with the city and everyone planning to join us for this year’s jubilant fair,” she said.
Although nearly 1,000 artists participate in Art Fair, three will stand out as contributors to this summer’s commemorative posters.
Erin Curry, Erin O’Connor and Kent Ambler each created a poster representing the three distinct fairs.
