ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The southbound curb lane of Ann Arbor Saline Road between Northbrook and Eisenhower is still closed after a water main break on July 27 closed the road overnight.

City officials said construction crews repaired the water main break north of Eisenhower Parkway but due to expected storms on Saturday, the repairs won’t be completed until Monday, July 1.

Drivers can still use the inner southbound lane but should expect an uneven surface as crews were only able to cold-patch the road.

“We ask travelers to slow down and take their time through the area,” officials wrote in a notice.

Cold patching is when pre-mixed asphalt is used to fill a hole or cracks in the road as a temporary repair.
