ANN ARBOR, Mich. – LEGOs aren’t fun to step on but they are fun to build with, and it’s fun to see just how creative some folks can be.

Builders of all ages can enter their LEGO creations into the 19th annual LEGO Contest hosted by the Ann Arbor District Library on Sunday, Aug. 4, at the Sheraton Hotel.

Participants can show off their architectural skills and imagination by competing in six age-based categories for the chance to win medals, gift cards and trophies.

A panel of judges — made up of AADL staff — will choose winners, honorable mentions and runners-up in different categories including Coolest Robot, Most Sophisticated and Best Local Inspiration.

LEGO creations can be dropped off at the hotel, at 3200 Boardwalk Dr., between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Doors open to the public at 4 p.m.

Winners will be announced and will receive prizes during an award ceremony at 6 p.m.
