Ann Arbor’s TheRide prepares for football season with shuttle service for fans

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Get to University of Michigan football home games worry-free through convenient shuttles powered by the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority’s TheRide.

Football shuttles will move Wolverines fans between Michigan Stadium and drop-off/pick-up spots at Ann Arbor hotels and parking sites.

One-way tickets cost $1.50 and can be bought on contactless mobile ticketing and the EZFare, Moovit, Uber and Transit apps. Riders need to select " FootballRide” to get digital tickets.

Drivers will accept cash payments from those who cannot get mobile tickets but only exact change is accepted.

Discounts are available for seniors, youth and those with disabilities.

Shuttles will run every 20 minutes and will start around two hours before game times. The last shuttles heading to the Big House will leave 30 minutes before the game. Fans will be dropped off near Gate 2 next to Crisler Arena.

Pickup locations include Wyndham Garden Ann Arbor, Weber’s Ann Arbor, Graduate Ann Arbor Hotel, Pizza House on Church St., Sheraton Ann Arbor Hotel, The Kensington Hotel and DoubleTree by Hilton North.

Return shuttles will run for one hour after the end of the game. West and downtown-bound shuttles will pick up riders on Stadium Blvd between Gates 2 & 4. Shuttles heading north, east and south will pick up fans on Stadium Blvd east of Gate 2 near the Crisler Arena.

MCards, go!Passes and TheRide’s 30-day passes cannot be used to pay for FootballRide shuttles.

This year’s season kicks off on August 31 when the Wolverines will take on the Fresno State Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m.
