ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore was asked Tuesday about the text messages with Connor Stalions that the NCAA accused him of deleting.

Reports said a draft of the NCAA’s notice of allegations suggested Moore could face a suspension for deleting a thread of texts that were exchanged with Stalions on the day his sign-stealing operation was revealed.

Moore can’t say much about the ongoing investigation, but he did offer a few words.

“I’ll just say: I look forward to them being released, and that’s it,” Moore said.

The new head coach went 4-0 while filling in for Jim Harbaugh last season, most notably leading Michigan to wins over Penn State and Ohio State.

That led to Michigan’s third-straight College Football Playoff appearance, and this time, the Wolverines got the job done. They beat Alabama in the Rose Bowl and unbeaten Washington in the national title to finish a perfect 15-0.

Moore’s first season will begin with Michigan ranked No. 9 in the AP poll. It also comes amid massive changes to the sport’s landscape: most notably the 12-team playoff and major conference realignment.
