Ypsilanti man in critical condition after Ann Arbor shooting

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Police are investigating a shooting that left a 23-year-old Ypsilanti man in critical condition.

The shooting happened at 3:10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024, in the area of William and Maynard streets. Police said when officers arrived, they found the 23-year-old had been shot once int he chest.

The victim was transported to a hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The suspect in the shooting fled the scene in a white sedan. He is described as a man in his 20s who was wearing a white shirt and black pants at the time of the shooting.
