WASHTENAW COUNTY, Mich. – Officials have peacefully resolved the scene on campus at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
As of 11:37 p.m., officials say the area has been cleared, and it is safe to resume regular activities.

The initial incident occurred on Wednesday (Dec. 18) night when the first alert about the situation went out around 9:24 p.m. in a parking lot near the University of Michigan-North Campus Research Complex around the 2800 block of Plymouth Road.
The second alert went out at 9:43 p.m., asking residents not to enter the area until it had been cleared.
The situation was ongoing at the parking lot between the North Campus Research Complex and the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute until 11:37 p.m. when officials gave the “All clear,” saying it was safe to resume regular activities.
