GREEN BAY, Wis. – Michigan Wolverines national championship-winning running back Kalel Mullings was selected by the Tennessee Titans with pick No. 188 in the sixth round of the NFL draft on Saturday.
Mullings left a lasting impression during his final season with the Wolverines.
He literally carried the offense with big runs against the USC Trojans and the game-sealing run against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The Boston native is a powerful running back who can make big runs or run through a defender’s chest.
His massive frame is unique because it is flexible, allowing him to bend, balance, and drive to move the sticks while also breaking tackles quickly.
The 6′1 1/2″ 226-pound tailback gained honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference recognition after leading Michigan with 948 rushing yards on 185 carries.
He acquired 12 touchdowns while playing in 12 games with four starts in 2024.
While playing in 13 games as a reserve running back and on special teams during the 2023 national championship season, he carried the ball 36 times for 222 yards and one touchdown.
In 2022, Mullings played in 12 games as a linebacker, running back, and on special teams. He started one game as a linebacker that season.
He played in 13 games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams during the 2021 season and recorded 11 tackles.
Mullings played in six games as a reserve running back and on special teams in 2020.
