Magnet - Core City

This veggie-friendly restaurant opened last month in the former Magnet Radiator Works Building in the Core City neighborhood near Woodbridge. The menu is built around a wood fire oven concept, that includes pizza, burgers and a rotating list of specials.

Frita Batidos - District Detroit

An Ann Arbor favorite has opened up in Downtown Detroit. Frita Batidos, a Cuban-style burger restaurant, has opened in the District Detroit. The restaurant is located west of Woodward, between the new Little Caesars world headquarters campus expansion and the historic Fox Theatre. In addition to the burgers, the menu includes fresh salads, Cuban inspired pressed sandwiches, churros and alcoholic beverages, featuring seasonal cocktails.

Karl's - Downtown

The latest from award-winning chef Kate Williams (Lady of the House, Republic), Karl's is an old style, vintage diner inside the Siren Hotel in Downtown Detroit. It's also a music venue. "Come for breakfast. Catch up at lunch. Grab dinner and drinks. See a show."

Smith & Co. - Midtown

Located in the old Smith Welding Supply & Equipment Company building, Smith & Co. is a restaurant and beer house! According to Eater, the menu will include options like fried chicken sandwiches with gochujang aioli and Brinery kimchi, wagyu burgers with sunny side up eggs, achiote marinated carne asada bowls, and roasted carrots with Michigan feta, pistachios, and honey harissa

Savant - Midtown

A new French and American cuisine-themed restaurant has opened in the former Bolero space in Forest Avenue and Woodward. Get yourself a bump of caviar on a gold leaf. You deserve it. The menu features dishes such as foie gras éclairs, burgers, croque monsieur, and croissant biscuits and gravy. Their cocktail menu looks amazing, too.
