DETROIT – DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan is hosting an open house for Canton residents and surrounding communities in celebration of the new location and official Grand Opening of Children's Hospital of Michigan Specialty Center-Canton. Festivities around the new location offer an opportunity to get a glimpse of Children's Hospital's America's Thanksgiving Parade Float and support the Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation by bringing a new toy to fill the float. Donations are for the CHM Foundation to benefit patients and children this holiday season. Families will also have an opportunity to meet and interact with Detroit Red Wings' alumnus Chris Osgood! The event takes place on Sunday, November 4, Noon to 3 p.m. at 45250 Cherry Hill Road in Canton.

Other activities for the Children's Hospital of Michigan Specialty Center-Canton open house include family entertainment from Radio Disney, face painting, refreshments, prizes and more. Staff and physicians will also be present to answer questions and offer tours.

The 9,282 square feet, $1.1 million facility will house several medical subspecialties including gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, orthopedic surgery, pediatric surgery, and urology. EEG testing, a lab-draw station, ultrasound and X-ray are also among the services available to families at Children's Hospital of Michigan Specialty Center-Canton.
