Ramadan Suhoor Festival (Fairlane Town Center), opening weekend: The late-night celebration centered around the observance of Ramadan is back. Every weekend night through the month of observance, dozens of local vendors sell everything from food, drinks, desserts and merchandise from 10:30 p.m to 3 a.m. Over 100,000 people are expected to attend the festival. Leslie Jones (Royal Oak Music Theatre), Friday 6 p.m.: The SNL alum just recently completed a week-long stint as host of Comedy Centralβs The Daily Show. Now sheβs going back to her stand-up roots and bringing her βLeslie Jones Liveβ show across the country. Catch Jones in her hilarious element for one night only. Tickets start at $49. Riverdance (Fox Theatre), Friday & Saturday: The world-famous Irish dance troupe celebrates 25 years of entertaining millions of fans. From its Grammy Award-winning music to the powerful movement of the award-winning dancers, whether this is your first or fourth time seeing Riverdance, experience the magic all over again. 7:30 p.m. shows both nights with a matinee at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Warren Spring Carnival (Warren Community Center), Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: With spring officially underway, itβs time to start gathering again for some family fun in the community. Cabaret 313: Eden Espinosa (Marlene Ball Theatre), Saturday 6:30 & 8:45 p.m.: This Broadway legend has flown high above audiences as Wickedβs Elphaba and has played many iconic roles including Maureen in the closing company of RENT. Sheβs also originated the title roles in Brooklyn the Musical and Lempicka. Itβs your chance to see her live in your neighborhood singing Broadway classics and more. Brewsology Beer Fest (Michigan Science Center), Saturday 7 to 11 p.m.: Itβs after hours at the museum. Take a boozy field trip to MiSci with some of the best local breweries and ciders. Get open access to the museumβs exhibits while sipping on some favorite and new brews. Participating breweries include Atwater, Bellβs, Saucy Brew Works and more. Marche du Nain Rouge (Cass Corridor), Sunday noon: Midtownβs annual tradition of scaring away the devil returns. On the first weekend of spring, revelers come dressed down Second Avenue for a spectacle that is purely Detroit. The parade kicks off around 1 p.m. after opening ceremonies at noon. Marche du Nain Rouge Afterparty (Masonic Temple), Sunday 2 to 5 p.m.: The party doesnβt stop at the parade. Head on over to the worldβs largest Masonic Temple for a devilishly good time with the characters that have spilled on over from the Marche. Dance and play with live music from DJ RAEDY LEX and Davey Valentine and donβt miss the Nain Rouge tribute. The after party is free and open to the public.
