Why diversity in the field of dietetics is so important

Local 4′s Kimberly Gill talks with black dietician Kimberly Snodgrass on why it’s so important to have more diversity in the field of dietetics.

Kimberly Gill: “When you look at all the registered dieticians in the U.S., only 3% of them are black. Why does that matter? Well, because it impacts the health of our community.”

Kimberly Snodgrass: “When they find a black dietician they say, ah, finally someone who can relate to what I eat.”
