49th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Party (Old Shillelagh), Friday 7 a.m.: What better place to get your jig on than at Detroit’s favorite Irish pub? The Greektown establishment is hosting its massive party that starts bright and early. Three floors of mischief will feature live music, DJs, drink deals and a special menu including shepherd’s pie and fish & chips. The party runs through the wee hours of 2 a.m. More info here.

Warren Spring Carnival (Warren Community Center), Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: With spring officially underway, it’s time to start gathering again for some family fun in the community. Meet the Easter Bunny, find the hidden eggs, enjoy face painting, balloon sculptures and more. Admission is free. More info here.

Totally Rad Vintage Fest (Huntington Place), Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Remember when the latest technology was the Sony Walkman and the biggest game was Pacman? Go back in time to when the fashion was funky and the clothes were colorful. Vendors specializing with the flyest styles from the 80s, 90s and Y2K will be rocking the floor. Pick up nostalgic records, toys, video games, home goods and more. A throwback arcade and photo ops will round out your totally awesome experience. Admission starts at $12. Zoo Tales (Detroit Zoo), Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Get ready for an adventure in learning. Pack your young scientists and explorers for a day at the zoo filled with STEM activities and games that bring the animal kingdom to life. Adventurers will also get story read alongs, hands-on activities, explorationstations, meet-and-greet with Ryan the Lion and access to the Zoo Tales Book Trail. Free with zoo admission. Leprechaun Day (Canterbury Village), Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Can you find the pot of gold? Leprechauns have hidden coins all over Canterbury Village. Find them all and exchange them for prizes and candy. Take pictures with the lucky Leprechauns in the Leprechaun Barn, meet furry friends at the petting zoo, and enjoy magic shows and Irish dancers. St. Patrick’s in the Park (Blossom Heath Park), Saturday noon to 9 p.m.: Follow the leprechaun over to St. Clair Shores for a family friendly festival filled with the luck of the Irish. Enjoy the traditional sounds of pipes and drums, watch the Irish dancers, try gourmet treats at the food trucks, and sip on some stouts in the beer area. All proceeds benefit the St. Clair Shores Hockey Association scholarship program. Admission is free. More info here.

Detroit Shamrock Festival (Music Hall Amphitheater), Saturday noon to 10 p.m.: Get shamROCKED at the biggest St. Patrick’s Day party in Downtown Detroit. Celebrate inside the giant green heated tent filled with Irish beer and whiskey. Over a dozen DJs and acts will be performing live with food trucks, vendors and more. General admission starts at $30, $50 at the door. 21 and over only. Get tickets here.

Brewsology Beer Fest (Michigan Science Center), Saturday 7 to 11 p.m.: It’s after hours at the museum. Take a boozy field trip to MiSci with some of the best local breweries and ciders. Get open access to the museum’s exhibits while sipping on some favorite and new brews. Participating breweries include Atwater, Bell’s, Eastern Market Brewing Co. and more. Novi Boat Show (Suburban Collection Showplace), through Sunday: It’s never too early to think about summer. Cruise on over to Novi and check out the latest and greatest boat models; try out a boating, fishing or surf simulator; take home giveaways; and kids can hang out at the crafting corner. This year will also include a meet-and-greet with the Detroit Lions’ cheerleaders and check out the one-of-a-kind Barbie boat. Admission is $12 for adults and free for children 12 and under. To Kill a Mockingbird (Fisher Theatre), through Sunday: All rise. The Broadway sensation written by acclaimed writer and director Aaron Sorkin is making its Detroit debut. Based on Harper Lee’s novel, the Tony Award-winning show has been deemed as one of the Great White Way’s most successful plays in history. Emmy Award-winner Richard Thomas stars as Atticus Finch.
