DETROIT – Eminem, with Carhartt and Bel Air Luxury Cinema will host an event on Wednesday night to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the film "8 Mile."
There's also a party tomorrow night at Saint Andrews. Hosted by WJLB’s Bushman, the part will feature a rap battle hosted by Quest Mcody and a performance by Mix Korona. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $50 for VIP.
For the 15th Annivesary of 8 Mile, we will be hosting a special screening in Detroit, as well as releasing a limited edition capsule collection with Carhartt. All proceeds from both the ticket sales and merchandise will go to the the Marshall Mathers Foundation to benefit the Verses Project: Exploring Literacy through Lyrics and Song. Exactly 15 years ago, Bel Air Luxury Cinema hosted the Detroit premiere for 8 MILE. In honor of 8 MILE’s 15th anniversary, Shady Records announces that they are bringing the film back to the big screen with a special red carpet premiere on November 8th at 7:00pm at the Bel Air Luxury Cinema. Tickets are $8.00 and go on sale Wednesday, October 18th, 2017. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit The Verses Project, which is a branch of the Community Music School (CMS) – Detroit. This program works together with the Michigan State University School of Music as an innovative approach to engaging urban youth of the 21st century by teaching critical literacy skills through the art of songwriting and music production.
Tickets for the premiere screening are $8 each and will go on sale online only, at 12pm on Wednesday, October 18 at www.shadyrecords.com and www.belairluxurycinema.com. Bel Air Luxury Cinema is located at 10100 W. 8 Mile Rd. in Detroit. All proceeds from ticket sales as well as proceeds from the special 8 MILE concession package will be donated to The Verses Project.
