DETROIT – Voting began Wednesday and ends Aug. 2 in Local 4's annual Vote 4 the Best contest at ClickOnDetroit.com/4thebest.
Voters can choose from nearly 300 categories and vote for their favorite business once per day throughout the summer. They can also choose their own business to nominate.

Winners will be announced online, at ClickOnDetroit.com/4thebest on the week of Aug 10. Some of the winners will be featured on Local 4 News Today, Live in the D and Local 4 News First at 4.
Metro Detroiters can use the list as their go-to guide for the "best" of everything around town. They can search by city to find whatever business they're looking for – wherever they are.
"WDIV is proud to celebrate and support local businesses, both big and small, not only in metro Detroit but throughout Michigan," said Jamie Kaye Walters, Local 4's Creative Services and Programming Director.
More than 12,000 businesses are on the Vote 4 the Best list.
Participants can vote on their desktop computers or mobile devices. Hundreds of thousands of people voted last year, and Local 4's Vote 4 the Best page had more than 2 million page views during the 2014 campaign.
