STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – It’s no secret that daycare is shockingly expensive.
One Metro Detroit mom may be forced to move her children from one care facility to another due to a computer glitch.
Stacey Reiter receives assistance from the state but a billing problem is creating big concerns -- so she reached out to Help Me Hank to investigate.
Reiter’s three children are enrolled in daycare at Tutor Time in Sterling Heights. All the paperwork was filed and everything was approved and paid but then a glitch caused a problem between the state, the childcare agency and the billing company. As a result, Reiter and their kids are stuck in the middle.
The state said an investigation is underway and they aim to fix the glitch, release the payment and avoid the headaches.
