DETROIT – Some Detroit Lions season ticket holders have been sidelined after discovering that their tickets have vanished due to a new and elaborate scheme.
William Wright, a dedicated Lions season ticket holder for 34 years, was shocked to find his tickets missing this year.
He said he paid for them, but scammers now have them and are working to cash in.
Local 4 Consumer Investigative Reporter Hank Winchester talked to Wright and the police and contacted the Lions to learn what was occurring.
Wright said he logged into his account to check out this year’s tickets he paid for and noticed they were gone and being sold on Ticketmaster.
He filed a police report with the Macomb County Sheriff’s Department and learned he was not alone.
