Hank Winchester: Want to buy Tigers tickets? Watch out for scammers

Comerica Park in September 2024. (Sara Schulz, WDIV)

DETROIT – Are you fired up for our Tigers? I know I can’t wait to see them take on The Guardians here at home next week.

Ticket prices are already soaring and you can image they will only rise if the Tiger walk away with a win this weekend in Cleveland. Sadly, ticket scammers will be making a move.

Here is the best advice:

  • buy from a legitimate website.
  • Try to avoid Craigslist or Facebook.
  • Use a credit card. It will offer you more protection.

Today, I will be talking with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and financial experts to give you insider information on where to find the best tickets and the best prices.

In the meantime, do your ticket research, and remember, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is so beware. We will see you live today starting at 5 p.m.
