Grieving families left without closure as headstones vanish in Metro Detroit

One family even paid the cemetery hundreds to place the marker in the ground

Help Me Hank is exposing a cemetery headstone controversy. Families who paid thousands to honor their loved ones are learning their headstones are missing.

The family of a deceased man placed a cross and flowers on his gravesite to identify his location because his marker is missing due to an inmate locked up inside the Macomb County Jail.

His headstone was paid in full shortly after his passing last year, and on Tuesday (May 5), his family was only able to find his grave because of the flowers they’ve placed there.

The family even paid the cemetery hundreds to place the marker in the ground.

The marker was purchased at Clinton Grantie Works, but the owner isn’t there.
