Michigan Congresswoman Haley Stevens has won re-election in Michigan’s 11th U.S. House district covering most of Oakland County, defeating Republican challenger Mark Ambrose. It will be her third term in office.
Stevens defeated U.S. House Rep. Andy Levin the primary election in August. The districts were combined after redistricting.
Stevens was born and raised in Oakland County, and worked on Hillary Clinton’s and Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns before running for Congress in 2018.
Stevens supports abortion rights, increasing the minimum wage and expanding gun background checks.
