The Associated Press is projecting that former President Donald Trump has won the most votes in Michigan’s 2024 presidential primary election for the Republican Party.
As of 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, the AP is calling the race for Trump in Michigan’s Republican primary. Candidates Nikki Haley and Ryan Binkley were the only other Republicans still in the running against Trump as of Election Day.
Trump had already secured 110 delegates as of Tuesday, compared to Republican candidate Nikki Haley’s 20 delegates.
Incumbent Democratic President Joe Biden, the Republican nominee’s likely opponent in the general election this fall, had already secured 91 delegates before Tuesday.
Michigan typically held its presidential primary elections in March before moving it to February this year.
