Where Michigan voters stand on US Senate race between Elissa Slotkin, Mike Rogers

Here’s how voters feel about Michigan US Senate seat 1 week before Election Day

One week before Election Day, we’ve got an updated survey showing where Michigan voters stand on the U.S. Senate race between Elissa Slotkin and Mike Rogers.

According to our survey, which polled voters from Oct. 22-24, Slotkin owns a 3.7% lead over Rogers -- 46.2%-42.5%.

There are 6.7% of voters who remain undecided, and 4.7% of voters chose a third-part candidate.

These results are similar to the early October survey, which had Slotkin leading by 3.5% (46.8%-43.3%).

Slotkin has a narrow 2.9% lead (39.2%-36.3%) among independent voters.

Among Harris voters, 88.7% are voting for Slotkin. Rogers has 83.2% of Trump voters.

Slotkin leads women by 20.9% (54.2%-33.3%), while Rogers leads men by 15.3% (52.6%-37.3%).

Among college voters, Slotkin leads by 13.2% (52.4%-39.2%). Rogers leads non-college voters by 2.9% (45-2%-42.3%).

Notably, Slotkin leads by 11.9% in union households -- 49.4%-37.5%. Rogers leads non-union households, 44.6%-43.3%.

Poll methodology

This survey was commissioned by WDIV Local 4 News and the Detroit News. The Glengariff Group, Inc, conducted the statewide survey and included likely general election voters.

There were 600 people surveyed over the phone from Oct. 22-24, 2024. This survey has a margin of error of +/- 4%, with a 95% level of confidence.

Of the respondents, 83.2% were contacted via cellphone and 16.8% were contacted via landline phone.
