It has been announced the man considered one of the best rappers of all time, Eminem, is officially being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
“What do you think about him being inducted? I don’t picture him as a rock and roll artist. He’s more of a hip-hop artist, but any induction into any hall of fame is great, right?” asks Detroiter Lisa Glynn.

This makes Eminem the 10th rapper to be inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame alongside Jay Z, LL Cool J, Biggie, Pac, NWA, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Run DMC, and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.
As far as city representation, Eminem’s induction makes him the 11th Metro Detroiter to be honored, including Jackie Wilson, Berry Gordy, Stevie Wonder, Bob Seger, Madonna, Diana Ross, Iggy Pop, Aretha Franklin, Alice Cooper and Glen Fry. Not to mention many others that made their names at Motown.
“Anything that puts our city on the map is a great thing. As long as it’s good news and positivity, I’m all for it,” Glynn added.
