Beyoncé sent Jack White a bouquet of flowers and I’m insanely jealous of their friendship

Legends supporting legends!

From the outside, a friendship between Beyoncé and Jack White seems as unlikely as any, but if you’re a true fan of their music, you know this duo has collaborated and worked with each other for years.

They are even such good friends that Beyoncé sent White a bouquet of flowers as a thank you after the release of her newest country music-inspired album, “Cowboy Carter.” Who is jealous? That would be me!

White posted the gorgeous flowers on Instagram, along with a handwritten card from Queen Bey herself.

The note reads, “I just wanted you to know how much you inspired me on this record. Much love, Beyoncé.”

How sweet is that?!

White isn’t credited with working on “Cowboy Carter,” but you can really hear his influence all over the album, especially on songs like “YA YA” and “BODYGUARD” that have guitar solos that sound fuzzy and distorted. White is certainly no country artist, but he’s always been inspired by rockabilly music, which is considered an early version of modern rock and roll music.

And just like Beyoncé did on “Cowboy Carter,” White covered Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” back when he was in The White Stripes. It wouldn’t be shocking if White gave Bey some tips when it comes to covering a legendary song like “Jolene.”

As far as the two of them being longtime collaborators, people often forget that White is a featured artist on Beyoncé's “Don’t Hurt Yourself” from her iconic album “Lemonade.”

White clearly loves the song as much as Bey, because he often covers it in his live shows. He did a snippet of the song when he performed on “Saturday Night Live” back in 2020, and it’s regarded as one of the best performances in “SNL” history. You can watch the performance below.

White and Beyoncé's friendship is truly one for the ages, but I just hope this means that White will be a major collaborator on “Act III,” which is the rumored third album that Beyoncé will come out within the next couple of years. Many think it’s going to be a rock album, especially since “Renaissance” explored dance music relating to Black musicians, and “Cowboy Carter” did the same but for country music.

Regardless, I love their little friendship, and fingers crossed for another Beyoncé and Jack White song in the future!
