DETROIT – Calling all Jack White fans!

After a whole lot of speculation (and basically already selling the record at Detroit’s Third Man Records) Jack White has officially confirmed that his next studio album, called “No Name,” will be hitting record store shelves on Friday, Aug. 2.

White’s Third Man Records stores will be selling the album exclusively on Thursday, Aug. 1. “No Name” will be available to stream and buy at limited record stores throughout the country the next day.

So that means that Detroit’s Third Man Records will have the vinyl version of the album available to purchase on Thursday.

Fans had an inkling a new album was coming out after White sold a white-label version of the record at his Third Man Records locations.

Just like everything White does, “No Name” was recorded, produced, and mixed by White at his Third Man Studio throughout 2023 and 2024. It was pressed at Third Man Pressing, and released by Third Man Records.

White has had a busy couple months, so it’s impressive that he’s been working and recording a new album.

As Detroiters will surely never forget, he performed at the opening concert for the renovated Michigan Central Station, and he tore the house (or train station. technically) down with a stomping rendition of The White Stripes classic “Seven Nation Army.”

Just this past weekend, he joined Conan O’Brien on stage at the Newport Folk Festival. It seems crazy that Conan was even performing at the festival, but it’s even crazier that he and White performed a couple songs together.

The longtime friends joked a little bit before doing a rendition of The White Stripes song “We’re Going To Be Friends” and a cover of Eddie Cochran’s “Twenty Flight Rock” with the full band.

So if you’re in Detroit and want to get your hands on White’s new album “No Name” (it is pressed in a shiny blue that will look so cool spinning on your record player), you better head to the Detroit Third Man Records soon.

You can listen to the album digitally on Friday, and you can pre-order the album starting Friday at Jack White’s website.
