It’s not every day that people who love both politics and “The Real Housewives” get to enjoy somethig that brings those two worlds together, but that happened Tuesday night when Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was a guest on Bravo’s late night talk show “Watch What Happens Live” hosted by Andy Cohen.
The Governor is promoting her new book “True Gretch,” and what better way than to promote it than reaching out to voters and constituents who love the messiness of both reality TV and politics? When you think about it, they’re not too far off from each other!

Cohen, who is not shy of asking famous people wild questions, did not hold back on Whitmer. Take a look below at some of the hilarious questions Whitmer had to answer during her time on this wacky late night talk show.
What would her ‘Real Housewives’ tagline be?
For those who don’t know, every season of “The Real Housewives,” each housewife has a new tagline during the opening credits of the show. It’s usually something witty and catty that describes the Housewife. For example, Ramona Singer’s tagline from a season of “The Real Housewives of New York City” was once, “I’m an acquired taste. Don’t like me? Aquire some taste!”
It’s customary for Cohen to ask special guests what their “Real Housewife” tagline would be, and Whitmer was ready with her answer.
Whitmer answered, “Some people call me that woman from Michigan, I call it getting s*** done!”
What was her reaction to the song and nickname ‘Big Gretch?’
Cohen asked the Governor what she thought about getting the nickname “Big Gretch” during the pandemic from Detroit rapper Gmac Cash. At first she wasn’t sure what to think, but she’s since grown to love it. Watch below.
Who is her favorite Bravo celeb look-alike?
This was a deep cut question for Bravo fans, and one that many outside of the Bravo world will probably never understand. Governor Whitmer kinda looks like “Real Housewife” legend Countess Luann. There have been many memes on the internet made of Countess Luann dancing in a bar, and the caption will read something like “I love Big Gretch” or “I love the Governor of Michigan” because they look similar.
It’s hilarious that Countess Luann tweeted this question to Whitmer, and even more funny that Whitmer knows about these tweets that always go viral among Bravo fans. Watch the clip below.
What was it like to be around Oprah?
Oprah did a live interview with Vice President Kamala Harris last week, and an audience member asked Whitmer what it was like to be around Oprah and her energy. Cohen also asked a constitute from Michigan if she had “any gripes” for Whitmer. They also talked about Detroit’s famous Motown Museum.
Who was her first concert?
Cohen couldn’t let Whitmer leave the Clubhouse without asking her a bunch of random and fun questions, and some of them may surprise you! I’m actually kind of shocked at who she said was her first concert. Take a look below.
Should we care that Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes are friends?
In another speed round of questions, Cohen asked Whitmer if we should “give a damn” about a bunch of different topics. One of them being the friendship between Taylor Swift, who endorsed Vice President Harris, and Brittany Mahomes, who likes former President Donald Trump.
