Drew and Mike's last broadcast is Friday

Local 4's Devin Scillian talks exclusively with WRIF radio personalities Drew and Mike

DETROIT – For the first time since learning their contracts would not be renewed with WRIF, radio hosts Drew and Mike open up to Devin Scillian about being let go.

Last week Local 4 learned the popular radio personalities would be replaced at the end of May.

In a statement, Greater Media Detroit said Drew Lane and Mike Clark's last broadcast will be May 17. They'll take calls from listeners and past on-air contributors. The show has been on the air for the past 22 years.

In an exclusive interview with Local 4's Devin Scillian Drew and Mike said they were shocked by the news.

Mike said, "I was shocked. I didn't expect that and it definitely took my breath away."

Drew said, "Money must be in there somewhere" while Mike added, "But, we're not done yet we've not hung up the whole situation. Obviously we're going to regroup. We'll find something. We'll be back on a frequency. We want to stay together and go forward."

Drew and Mike will be replaced by 89X duo Dave and Chuck the Freak, who have been under a non-compete agreement since their exit from 89X in November.
